If you have not yet completed the 2025 – 2026 Application for Free or Reduced-price

Meals, please do so as soon as possible. Our carryover period from last year will expire on

October 2nd, 2025, at which time if you were receiving free or reduced-price meals, that will

change to full pay on October 3rd, 2025.

The 2025 – 2026 applications are available on the school’s website or can be picked up in

the office anytime between normal office hours.

Lastly, Office personnel will be available until 8:30 PM on October 1st, 2025, during parent

teacher conferences to pick up and/or turn in any completed applications.

Westhope Public School will be hosting PK-12 Parent-Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, October 1st, from 3:30 PM – 8:30 PM.

This is a great opportunity to connect with your child’s teachers, celebrate progress, and discuss goals for the year ahead.

After School Program will remain open until 5:00 PM.

The Westhope Newburg FFA will have a chicken drop board at the Fall Festival on October 4th. We have 100 squares for sale at $10 each. The winner takes half of the raised money. If interested in buying a square, reach out to Brooklyn Wagner or a W-N FFA member.

Westhope School- Class pictures will be on Wednesday, April 30th in the morning. An envelope will be sent home with your child for ordering. If you have more than one child, you can write 1 check for all children in your household. Please note this on your order form for ordering purposes. Join us for the 2025 NHS Induction Ceremony!

Dear Westhope Families, I want to inform you about a current situation regarding our math instruction. Following the recent resignation of our math teacher, we have been actively working to find a qualified replacement. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing shortage of certified math instructors—especially in our rural area—this process has proven to be especially challenging. In the meantime, we have placed a consistent and reliable substitute teacher in the classroom to provide supervision and structure. To ensure continued learning, we are utilizing Khan Academy, a trusted online resource that offers standards-aligned instruction and practice in mathematics. Our staff is closely monitoring student progress and providing additional support where needed. We understand this is not the ideal setup, but please know we are doing everything we can to maintain learning momentum and secure a qualified math teacher as soon as possible.
