Preschool Screening and Registration for the upcoming school year is now open at Westhope Public School.

If you have a child who will be preschool age, please complete the registration form first and then sign up for a screening time on either August 19th or 20th.

Students in Mrs. Ballantyne’s Native American Studies class had a great hands-on learning experience creating dreamcatchers. A special thank you to Penny Ballantyne for coming in and sharing her knowledge while helping students with the project. We appreciate the opportunity for our students to learn about culture and traditions in such a meaningful way.

KC Photography will take prom pictures on Saturday, March 28 from 5:30-7 at the WHS gym. No forms or payment are necessary at time of pictures. Class pictures for grades 9-12 will follow starting at 7.

Westhope Public School will be releasing early today, March 12th, due to already reduced visibility and the high winds and snow predicted for this afternoon. School will be dismissed at 1:00 PM for all grades, and buses will run at that time. There will be no practices or after-school activities today. Thank you for your understanding.

Westhope Public School is proud to recognize Kaden Kirk for being selected for Academic All State Honorable Mention through the North Dakota Association of Secondary School Principals.
Academic All State recognizes seniors across North Dakota who demonstrate excellence in academics and dedication to their education. Students are nominated by their school principal and evaluated through a competitive statewide selection process.
Kaden was nominated based on his outstanding academic performance. He maintains a 4.0 grade point average and has achieved an exceptional ACT score during his time at Westhope Public School.
Congratulations to Kaden on this well-deserved recognition. Your Westhope Sioux family is proud of you.

Notice is hereby given that the School Board Election for 2026 will be held on June 9th, 2026 at the Gateway Community Room. The deadline for filing to have a candidate’s name printed on the ballot for the Westhope Public School District is April 6th, 2026 , by 4 P.M.
