Hello!
My name is Tina Denning and this is my sixth teaching second grade! I graduated from Minot State University December 2016, I completed a Master's Degree of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, and currently I have completed half of my doctoral program through University of Mary and look to walk for my graduation in April 2024.
We have lived in ND since 2006 and have a tiny spot for a garden and a few animals. My passion is Scottish Highland cows...So your little ones will probably hear quite a bit about them and my trip to Scotland.  Or how big I can get my sunflowers to grow.
My husband, John and I have been married 32years.  We are from the South but call North Dakota our HOME.  Our son lives in Williston as an electrician.  Our daughter is married with four littles and they live in Antler.

​I must admit that when I study at home I am usually on the couch, tv on (or some kind of noise), and basically comfortable.  I carry that same philosophy into my classroom.  I want your child/ren to be comfortable.  The classroom has desks and a couple of tables, it has some crates, pillows, and cushions.  These options allow the child to pick out what is most comfortable for them!  As long as they meet classroom expectations, they will have those freedoms. 
Because we get to spend so much time away from home in our classroom, I want it to be our home away from home.  It is my hope that your child is comfortable and wants to be here to learn.  I hope there is a comfortable level of communication for everyone (to include you as the parent) so please feel free to contact me any time or ask questions!  I cannot make changes unless I know there is a problem. 
Unfortunately, I can’t wear my jammies to work, or teach from a couch but I promise you – once your child comes into my room, they are part of my family! Family is important and I am excited to have your child in my classroom this year!
